This course focuses primarily on the interior of a piping system as well as the installation of gas appliances. The course addresses selecting and installing appliances, how to design and install interior venting systems, and designing and installing interior piping and tubing. The course is updated to NFPA 54, 2012 edition and NFPA 58, 2014 edition.

•  Design and installation considerations for gas appliances. 
•  Design and installation of natural, direct, and mechanical draft venting systems. 
•  Design of interior vapor distribution systems.

The updated, full-color CETP Basic Principles and Practices course offers an "entry level" course that provides pre-requisite instruction about propane's physical and combustion properties, and how propane is produced and transported. Some of the other topics covered are: - Organizations that influence publish or enforce codes and standards - How basic functions are performed in a bulk plant, including primary safety concerns, and customer service - Odorants and service interruptions - Complete and incomplete combustion characteristics, and much more.

2.1 & 2.2 Propane Delivery Basics and Operating a Bobtail to Deliver Propane

This class provides general information applicable to all drivers of cargo tank motor vehicles used to deliver propane including; DOT driver qualifications; personal protective equipment; CMV pre-trip inspections; verifying placarding, markings and inspections; flammable and combustible liquids; verifying the presence of odorant; handling CMV accidents; breakdowns and emergencies; and parking/garaging of vehicles.

 

This course also provides information on bobtail equipment and systems and explains a bobtail's basic equipment and systems, including the cargo tank, gauges, valves, pumps, meters, delivery hoses and emergency discharge control equipment. Presents detailed procedures for safely loading a bobtail using the plant pump. The course discusses DOT requirements for bobtail inspections, reviews the features and installation requirements of ASME tanks at customer locations.
